We sold our beloved Toyota Matrix...my favorite car I have ever owned...and bought my little sister's Honda Civic.
indeed it is not the most beautiful of all the cars in the world...however by doing this exchange we no longer have to make car payments.
Next I (Jessa) attended the National FSA Adoption Conference in Layton, UT! It was an absolute blast! I met lots of new people, Got to hear Julie B Beck speak, and hung out with friends!
While there I was able to hang out with Becky, Josie, and Kyle and celebrate Josie's 3rd birthday with them!
It was wonderful! She is getting ridiculously tall and is as spunky as ever.
Next Wesley got a fantastic new job working at Cache Employment and Training Center. Its a center for people with disabilities. Wes is amazing with this group of people and really has a knack for it. All of the participants love him dearly.
Little Mina is still cooking in the oven and we are soooooooo excited to see her pretty little face in just a few short months! Wes and i have been working on several little projects for her room! Something you may not know about my amazing stud muffin of a husband is that he is an amazing artist. AMAZING!
The last and most amazing thing about our lives is after a very hard day where i had probably 6 or 7 emotional breakdowns because nothing was seeming to work out correctly for me. I got a call from my little brother telling me I got a package in the mail. This package was one that has been waited for for a long time....a very long time. The Army has finally finished my retirement paperwork...they have now gone from my least favorite entity to talk about to my most favorite. We found out that we will be getting a major settlement. Its enough to pay off our debts, go on an amazing vacation, and put a down payment on a house. We also will be getting paid enough a month that Wes only needs to work ONE part time job and i can stay home with Mina and we will still be able to pay for school with no problem at all. This is the biggest blessing we have received in a while. Its amazing. A huge burden off of our shoulders and we know that we have no one else to thank but our Heavenly Father (and i guess the Army....lol)
We are so excited because we get to go on a 7 day vacation to MEXICO! We will be staying at the Gran Caribe in Cancun.....do you want to know how beautiful it is????
That is our resort. Its all inclusive which means I will get to drink as many Pina Coladas (virgin of course) as i want to in one day. It also means we will get to do two amazing adventures while we are there. We are going to go on an all day tour to Chichen Itza
Which I have always found incredibly interesting. I love historical anything!! We are really stoked!
We will also get to go on a day trip to Cozumel Mexico and go Snorkeling.
I seriously haven't been this excited to do anything....i have had a dream about it for the last 3 nights!!
We are going from October 16-22 and it is going to be amazing. I am actually kind of glad that we are doing a big trip now instead of on our honeymoon. For a lot of reasons really. its going to be very memorable.
Friday I got to see Mary Poppins on Broadway with Alyson and my parents. If you have a chance to see it GO! It was spectacular! We are thankful that Wesley and Travis were willing to babysit the small children for my parents and I am amazed they are still alive to tell the tale :)
This week we get to see Wes' mom! She will be down in Salt Lake and its gonna be a party!!! We are really excited especially since we don't get to see them as often as we would like to!
So there you have an oooober long post about our life!! Hope all is well for y'all. . .
