What a Stud!

Yes, Wes and I have lived in 2 apartments since we have been married but that is what young, married students is all about right? Okay so maybe not but We really feel like this is the right move and we are VERY EXCITED! We have lots of friends in Logan, and it is where we met , we have a lot of good memories up there. We are moving the last week of November, Wes will transfer back to USU and I will be working.

In the meantime, Thanksgiving is coming up and we are ready to eat, Sadly we don't get to go to PDX for christmas (a con to being young, married, students.), Wes is doing amazing in school, and Rupert is enjoying the fact that he got a new meat flavored bone.

Well I have had a busy week and I am glad to be home! Last week I left on a roadtrip to the SW Adoption Conference in Arizona with the lovely ladies below! I taught the class on Who, When, Where, and How to tell your adoption story. I had a BLAST!!

Then I had to go to Colorado for my medical discharge process. And I got to hang out with my dad and my lovely siblings! We had fun hanging out the park, watching movies, and eating all kinds of delicious food!

So this movie is one that always puts me in a good mood. It really never gets old to me!

And this one is just hilarious! It thrills me!! I wish we could all be this happy EVERYDAY!!

Back To School! Back To School!

Wesley started school! He is taking 12 credits. Wes has decided to go with a behavioral science major moving to the direction of occupational therapy.

The classes he decided to take are:
English
Psychology
Anthropology
and
Social Work

• So far he likes them. He wasn't really expecting to take Anthropology but is enjoying it just the same.
• Sawyer has gone to live with his new family!
• This past weekend I hosted a yard sale and all the proceeds went to my non profit. Besides the fact that it was extremely windy we got a good turn out and made 300 dollars! We still had a lot of clothes left over.
• We babysat last week for my parents while they were in Switzerland and had a lot of fun with them.
  
• Well that is about it. Life has been kinda crazy recently so we have been adjusting to that. This post was extremely boring I am sure! We just wanted to give you all an update about whats going on in our lives! We love you all!
  

Update on My Health!

So I have been getting a lot of calls and texts on whether or not I am okay.

So here is the story...

One day I woke up because I had a sharp pain in my stomach. The next day I was nauseous. I ignored it. Well this little joy went on for several days. Finally I was nervous that it was a kidney stone because of how the pain was. We went to the E.R. (my second to least favorite place in the world.) The doctors did tests and found out it was an Ovarian Cyst. Yay they figured it out! WRONG!!

Silly doctors. I kept feeling the pain again and again only it was getting worse. Finally on Monday (1st) night I was gonna go nuts if I didn't get the pain fixed. I went in and the doctor told me that he was pretty sure I had a peptic ulcer and set me up for an endoscopy. I went in for the procedure and they found nothing. UGH!!

They told me it might just be cramps. Well 2 days ago I made an appt at the OB/GYN apparently I have endometriosis! (hopefully I spelled that right) They are treating me for that right now and It seems to be getting better. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

So yes I am fine! I am alive! Thank you all for your concern and well wishes!!!

What's Up Chuck? (only few people will truly appreciate this title!)

So here is our update! It has been CrAzY busy round here!!

Wes and I went hiking up to Bridal Veil falls....... Twice!!!

Once with his fam and once with my brothers!



We also got to go to the Cocoa Bean!! Curse Tara for ever causing me to fall in love with this place!!!



Last week I got to go to the FSA conference and had sooo much fun! I met lots of awesome people and Becky and Josie came down too!! AMAZING!!! I got hang out with one of my favorite people..Ashley Bigler! She is an author of an awesome children's book you should all read!!!
I ate delicious Filet mignon and was delighted by Brandon Doman and Jesse Funk!












Wes' Family was down here (unfortunately we missed the Dewey fam this time) and we sent off his missionary of a brother Josh!!! Unfortunately I personally don't have any missionary pics of Josh so we will use one we have in our computer :)

Our Angel of a Dog!

The other day i was going through my regular morning routine and taking Rupert on his morning walk. We walked out the door and came to the first street and there was an injured bird in the middle of the street. Rupert spotted it instantly, I suspected that his terrier instincts took over and had only one thing on his mind. Rupert ran into the street to put the injured bird out of his misery, so I thought. What happened next surprised me quite a bit. Rupert picked the bird up in his mouth and carried it to the grass and gently set it down and didn't try to eat it. I was so amazed at what happened because my family's old dog would kill for the chance to maim some poor helpless woodland creature. Jessa rounded up our injured friend and is now trying to give him a second chance at life. It is now day three since Rupert saved the bird and I must say he is looking a lot better. Thanks Rupert for not giving in to those killer instincts.

WII and a better side of the dog

Hey all, this is my first time blogging so I hope I don't do too bad of a job. The newest addition to our home (besides our little poop factory, aka dog) is a new toy!! That's right, my lovely wife bought me a wii. Unfortunately I haven't had very much time to play it. Work has been kind of crazy, in fact I wasn't home much this weekend. That is probably a good thing right? Don't want to rot my brain in front of the idiot box for too long. I'll spare the pictures of me playing because I'm sure there are a lot better things to look at than a picture of me playing video games. Besides, my mother has seen me do that my whole young life. We will however post a cuter pic of Rupert. This makes him look more like a cute dog and less like a rat! One thing we love about him is that he always has one ear pointing straight up and the other is flopped over. I'll post more when there is something actually worth posting, anyway, KEEP IT REAL!!!

1 Year!!

Tomorrow is an anniversary for a couple of things actually!

1 Year since Wes took me ring shopping :)... WOOT!!!!

1 Year since I started my birthmothers blog!













All of these things have turned out to fantastic for me! 2 led to a Husband who is AMAZING!!! 1 led to a passion that has been therapeutic and awesome all at the same time. I have met lots of new people. Gotten an awesome new family. And overcome a lot of challenges! Thanks to all my awesome family and friends who made this possible!!

So my mom was helping my little brother Richie do his homework. He was learning about how Jews use to live in Ghettos. My mom explained that a ghetto was a poor living area. Richard then responded, "Oh like where Jessa lives." So apparently Wes and I live in the ghetto and Richard needs some more education on third world countries.

Wes and his "Dog Training Technique"

Sir Rupert is an amazing dog...when he isn't being exceptionally naughty. ...

He lays in your lap, He cuddles, He usually stays by you, and he doesn't beg for food.

However, you take him on a walk or let him roam the house too much and all hell breaks loose!

We took him to the park today (with our new picnic set--thanks Jadie) and we are sitting enjoying our lunch. We decide to let Rupert go chase some birds. About two seconds later he is walking over to some couple making out and he starts barking. This dog NEVER barks except every once in while he decides there is someone he doesn't like. Wes had to chase him down.

Then we got home and Wes was very upset about this event. So Wes took an empty pop can and put some coins in and duct tape on top. A little later we caught Rupert chewing on a pen. Wes chucks the can right in front of the dogs face and scares the CRAP out him. Rupert dashes into the kitchen to hide.

I am not sure how effective this will be but Wes swears by it. I wonder if that works with kids too! HA!
